We were so happy this year his actual birthday fell on a Saturday!! We started out in the morning with breakfast, the birthday boy requested Cinnamon Rolls. He even got an extra surprise of a gift!!
The party wasn't to start until 5, so we had alot of stuff to do around the house to get ready. Garrett did great keeping himself busy so Mommy and Daddy could get some work done.
After naptime, it was crunch time! This year I decided to be alittle like Betty Crocker and make cupcakes for the party. Now I must say, I have never made cupcakes before, never decorated cupcakes before...but I was going to try. I didn't have a backup plan so I was really hoping they would turn out! (these are pics from the night before....you will see final pics further down!)
Soon the guest started to arrive!! We had all of Garrett's toys in the yard (looked like we ran a daycare!) and just let the kids have fun! We set up 2 kiddie pools - however they weren't used that much...luckily for us the weather could not have been any better...if it had been hotter the pools may have gotten used more!!

Daddy got to test out his new grill on hotdogs for everyone!! They were yummy :)
It was then time for the moment of truth....the cupcakes!! I decided the let the kids have some fun and decorate their own (with Mom and Dad's help of course!). I think they really enjoyed making mini-masterpieces of their cupcakes....looks like they enjoyed eating them too!!
I didn't hear one bad comment about them...so they must have been atleast somewhat good!
Present time was fun...but complete chaos! Unfortunately during this my camera decided to die (I'll blame Kevin for not charging the batteries!).
Overall the party was a success, the birthday boy had a great day, and we were all exhausted by the time it was over!!
