Garrett is starting to become interested in the potty thanks to daycare. Their rule is, if you sit on the potty you get 1 gummy bear, if you go in the potty you get 2 gummy bears.....well, once Garrett realize what the reward for the potty was, he became very interested!! He loves those gummy bears. He has gone pee pee in the potty twice for daycare, hasn't yet at home...however we are taking this very slow, basically letting him take the lead (for now). Because of his interest we decided that big boy underwear was a MUST just to have on hand, so Garrett and I headed to Target yesterday afternoon to pick some up. He choose the "Cars" themed underwear, with Lightning McQueen and 'Mater. Don't know if he quite understand everything when it comes to these - but it's a start. I'll keep you updated on the developments! :)
Also, this has been a very monumental week in the life of Garrett...not only has he started to use/sit on the potty...but we got rid of paci!! This was something I dreaded (but I think part of it was b/c I didn't want to accept my baby was growing up!), but last Saturday I just decided "today is the day". It has gone SOOOO easy. He will still ask for it some but right after he does, he looks at us and say "all gone"!!! YAY!! :)

Wahoo! No more paci!! That's HUGE! And he really understands that it's gone. I got a little teary-eyed reading this.
