Christmas Morning
Christmas morning started for us bright and early. 6:30 to be exact!! Dad (Papa) and Whitney came over to see Garrett with all his new toys and to have breakfast. Mom (MiMi) couldn't come this year because of work...but we caught up with her later in the day

Christmas Eve at Scott and Robin's
Our family Christmas festivities started at Scott and Robin's house on Christmas Eve. We had a great meal then watched the kids open presents!! We had a great time. It was home early that evening to get ready for Santa!!

Christmas Eve started with a gift from Mommy and Daddy before we headed to Uncle Scott and Aunt Robin's house. What was the gift you ask....well new pajamas of course!! Lightning McQueen and 'Mater to be exact!!

SNOW!!
We had our first snow yesterday/last night! We managed to get I'd say around 2-3 inches!! We went out this morning to play in it. Garrett had a good time. It took him awhile to get used to it b/c during the night we also had freezing rain- so it wasn't fluffy snow- more like "ice-snow". Anyway, once I showed him he could have fun by throwing snowballs at Daddy, he warmed right up :), but then he turned against me and started hitting me!! Overall, we had a great time playing in the snow!

Christmas Program 2009
It's really late- and I'm tired...but I wanted to go ahead and post this for a certain someone in Korea that asked ever so nicely to see it :)
This is most of Garrett's portion. They combined the 1 year old room and the 2 2 year old rooms for it. Garrett did so good (atleast he stayed up there). Sorry for the horrible tape job....I was trying to get around the little girl infront of Garrett (or the one Garrett was hiding behind), laughing my butt off, and my knees were KILLING me from crouching down!! Anyway, we think he did awesome...and we think we have the cutest little boy up there!! :) Enjoy!!

Santa Visit 2009
As a certain someone (Summer) pointed out - I have been very lazy updating the blog lately :) I have yet to post Thanksgiving pictures, however I hopefully will do that soon. We had a great Thanksgiving weekend visiting all our family! Tyler was home visiting before leaving for Korea so that was an added bonus! We had a great time.
Ok-onto the Santa pictures. Garrett for weeks, well maybe months, has been saying he wants Santa to bring him a bike (don't know where he got that from). We told him that he had to tell Santa that he has been good all year and wanted a bike. So, off the the mall yesterday we went. Papa is in town for Garrett's first Christmas program (more on that later), so he was able to join us. As you can see by the pics, Garrett didn't want to sit on Santa's lap. Kevin said the minute he walked over there with Garrett, Garrett looked at Santa and said "bike, bike!!". We managed to get a high five-but that's about it. Wasn't as bad as last years experience - so maybe next year will be even better! There is also a picture of Garrett with his new "big" Mickey Mouse. Mimi and Papa were in NY for Thanksgiving to go to the parade. Macy's has a annual Mickey, and they got Garrett's this years "look". He LOVES it. He was holding it while watching Mickey this morning.
Garrett has his first Christmas program tomorrow night. We are SO excited. His class will be singing "Frosty the Snowman"! We will see how he reacts to being up infront of alot of people! Hopefully he's not like his Mommy and afraid!! I will try to get pictures up either Monday night or Tuesday of this!

Pumpkin Carving
Tonight we carved Garrett's first ever pumpkin!! We had a great time. I don't think it turned out that bad :)

NC Zoo 2009
This post is a week overdue b/c of a stomach bug that had me not feeling well. But anyway, Last Sunday we went to the zoo with Carleane and Bill. They had never been & Garrett was so young last time he went it was like a whole new adventure for him as well. We had a great time!! These are just some of the 200 that we took! LOL!!
I might add that we had PERFECT weather. We originally were going to go on Saturday but had to postpone it a day b/c of rain. We ended up picking the best day to go, temps were in the low 70's maybe-and little humidity. Made the 5+ miles of walking not so bad!!

New Belt
This morning Kevin and I came to the realization that Garrett is beginning to lose his "baby fat". It's been chilly here so Garrett has had to wear jeans to school. Kevin put on a new pair of his 2T jeans only to discover that they wouldn't stay up!! Luckily I had remembered seeing a belt at Gap a few weeks back (actually Carleane (Bubba) wanted to buy it for him then, but I wouldn't let her) - so to gap we headed today after work!! It looks adorable on him...and holds his pants up!! Thanks Bubba for helping a little boy out with his saggin' drawers!! :)
