Smith Mountain Lake

Today we were invited to go visit our friends Dave and Marcia at Smith Mountain Lake!Garrett had his first boat ride, and fed fish for the first time!! Bill and Carleane were also there visiting. We had a great time as you will be able to tell!! :)

This chair is Dave and Marcia's grandsons....but Garrett chilled out in it for a while. So cute!

Garrett's new favorite toy

This cracks us and Garrett up. We got a package in the mail the other day-so I put him in the box and started running through the house with him in it (what a workout!!). I had no idea what I was getting us into....he loved it....esp. when we would get close to our dog Olan and Olan would run away. I got it on tape tonight while Kevin was giving him his nightly ride. It's alittle dark but you can hear him just giggling and laughing away!! It's the best laugh in the WHOLE world!

Havin' Fun and Self Feeding

Garrett is all about feeding himself lately. He will fuss and not take anything I am trying to feed him...but if I put it down he will do it himself. I have been hesitant to pull out spoons and forks for him to use-mostly for selfish reasons (the mess)....but he is forcing me to teach him how to do it on his own. He did pretty good with his yogurt tonight. Once it was gone I let him play/practice on his own!!

Today Garrett colored his first picture for Mommy and Daddy at daycare!! What an exciting thing for us to receive after a day apart!! He was coloring with a brown crayon so our scanner didn't pick up the color....but, we think it's beautiful! :)

Our Sunday

We had a day of photo shoots!! I took Garrett to a new park this morning where they have play equipment that is his size!! He had a blast :)




Then we went to Maw-Maw's for a bit. He looked so cute, I had to snap just a "few" pictures!! :)

Future Soccer Player?

Well this video is going to serve two purposes. I have yet to post a video of our little man walking-so for those of you that haven't/can't see him walking here is how he is doing. Also, he has learned how to kick a ball....future soccer player?, who knows....just maybe(but shhhh don't tell Daddy...he is hoping for basketball!!) :)

Blowing Kisses

Garrett started blowing kisses last week....and I have tried and tried to catch it on video, but of course as soon as a pull the camera out...he stops. Tonight he blew me a kiss and I happened to have the camera in my hands-so I quickly switched it to video mode and got this short video. Don't know if you can hear it-but he even makes the "kiss" sound when he does it!! Too cute :)

Round 1: Garrett VS. The Floor

Garrett has his first MAJOR boo-boo. He was walking down the hall at daycare going to visit one of his favorite teachers when he fell. He had a bloody nose at the time, then his poor little lip started to swell. Poor thing- and all this happened 5 minutes before Kevin got there to pick him up :( I know it's the first of many- but it's still heartbreaking.
