11 months and finally crawling!!

Garrett has started crawling!! FINALLY!! This is only day 2 of officially crawling (daycare said he had been trying all week), but I think he is doing pretty good!!!

Garrett's first Birthday Present (yes, it's early!)

Garrett was givin his first birthday present this weekend. Bubba and Bill (Carleane and Bill-Garrett's Godparents) bought him a radioflyer wagon!! They gave it to him early so he could get a "jump" on using it for the summer. He LOVES it. He really likes when Daddy runs with him in there...Mommy doesn't like that to much....but I think I need to get used to it....Garrett seems to be ALL BOY!!! Thank you soooo much Bubba & Bill for the wagon!

Garrett is such a big help around the house. He helped Mommy and Daddy this weekend by cleaning off his tray when he was done eating!!

He even get's in the corners!!

Garrett has learned a household term...and learned to "point"(really he uses his whole hand...but he knows and we know what he means:)) .....his new term.........LIGHT :)

MiMi and PaPa came over on Monday and we went for a walk to the park. Garrett absolutely LOVES to swing!!

Garrett liked for us to play indian with him....so now he has learned how to do it himself!!! I also caught a bye-bye wave on video...they are not as easily predictable right now!!

This is video of Garrett today cruisin'. He was playing with his table when he noticed 2 new toys (and Mommy's plant) that he had never seen before (the toys are for his birthday, ssshhhh don't tell him!!), so he figured out how to "cruise" over to what he wanted. He did this SEVERAL times!! You'll see in the video as I tell him "no" not to mess with the plant the "look" he gives me....just like his Daddy.....we are in some serious trouble!!! :)

He's WALKING.....well with his push walker atleast!!!

Garrett has had this push walker since Christmas, but poor thing didn't have a clue what to do! He loves to walk with us holding his hands (we think he may skip crawling) so I kept showing him the walker trying to get him to "get the hang of it"...well tonight it worked. The first time he did it I didn't have the camera (figures!!), so this is try #2, not as good as the first...but you'll get the point!!:) Oh, boy....we may be in trouble soon!!!!

Garrett was getting alittle bored with some of his other toys(or atleast that is what I was telling myself), and he is wanting to stand a whole lot...so I just had to go buy this for him. Tonight was his first night playing with it... and he LOVED it!! He stood really well with it and for a long period of time!!:)

Here are some pics from last weekend at MiMi and PaPa's house. This first one he was eating dinner and has kicked his legs so much with excitement he worked himself almost out of the chair!!!

Ah, childhood relived through your child!!....Tyler and I used to love being pulled around in a laundry basket(it's the little things!!), so MiMi pulled out her laundry basket for Garrett....and he Loved it!!(so why then do I buy all these toys!!).

Garrett's first Easter!

I'm alittle late posting these...but better late than never!! We went to Florida for Garrett's first easter and had a great time. We got to see everybody while we were there!! Hopefully we can get down there again soon!!

Garrett's First Day at the Park!!!

Sorry it's been so long I didn't realize it until I logged on today!!
We took Garrett to the park today for some swinging and sliding. He LOVED it!!! He just looked around and took it all in. It looks like today was the end of our nice weather for a couple days so we were glad we had the time to take the walk. Hope ya'll enjoy!!!

He's getting so big!!

It's amazing how fast they "grow up". Everybody told me that time would fly......at the time I didn't believe them....but they were right. It's hard to believe that my baby is 8 months old! He has new "tricks" everyday. We are just amazed at how he is developing into his own. These are our two newest videos. Like the headings the first is Garrett feeding himself puffs!! He really enjoy's them, and I think he is excited that he can get them in his mouth himself. Last week he was still gagging when you would put them in his mouth...this week he can't get enough!! The second video is his version of crawling!! As you can see...he can go backwards pretty well....although tires out quickly!!....maybe he will start going forward soon!! We will keep you updated!!

This is Garrett's new thing. He has started doing it this weekend...and is doing it constantly. He will say Dada and then blow the "raspberries"(don't know why they call them that but they do!). Unfortunatly he didn't do that in this video, he just said Da and then the raspberries, figures!!! In the video you will see him also shaking his head no (at first I didn't think he knew what he was saying...but he seems to do it at appropiate times!). ENJOY!!:)

We had snow last night!! It was such a nice surprise to wake up to(it wasn't expected). Daycare was on a delay so we got to get Garrett out in it before he went to school. Good thing because it was so "warm" today it already melted:( Oh well, it was nice while it lasted!! Garrett didn't quite know what to think.





While he enjoyed trying to touch the pretty white stuff....he didn't realize it was cold!
