Christmas Eve

** This post is just one of SEVERAL I posted recently. I can't get them all on the first page - so make sure you jump to the second page to see the remainder!!

Christmas Eve started off with a personal message for Garrett from Santa!!

Our Chistmas tree was bursting with gifts!!

That evening we celebrated with Kevin's family!! Everyone was there, with the exception of Maw-Maw who was in the hospital after letting her blood sugar drop to low :(. She is fine now, however I must say she had out done herself this year for getting out of a family gathering!!

The evening ended with us back at home. Garrett was able to open one present before going to bed.
Toy Story PJ's!!! I think he likes them :)

And PJ's wouldn't be complete without slippers!!!

Garrett colored Santa 2 pictures for him to take to his house (lucky Santa!), so we set those out with a plate full of cookies and a cup full of milk!!! We didn't forget Rudolph, he had his food waiting for him outside!!!

Christmas Morning

Santa came!!! Garrett must have been a very good boy all year!

And, he brought BIG FOOT!!!!!

Rockem' Sockem'
Toy Story 3!

Santa brought Garrett his very own camera!!

Paparazzi

Playing with big foot.... he's been a hugh hit!!

Tyler was able to come home for Christmas!! It was great having him here - must better than Skyping like last year!!

Mom's new gloves!

Dad's necklace
Kevin got his northface jacket he has been eyeing....
And I got my Keurig!!!!! :)
It was a great Christmas morning!! After all the morning chaos we go ready and headed to Mom and Dad's for lupper before the Christmas snow hit!! More pictures to post from there later.......

Christmas play 2010

***UPDATE***

I have posted pictures up to the Christmas play...keep scrolling down!!! I will try to post pictures of Christmas Eve and Christmas tonight, if not I will post them tomorrow.....promise :)

Sorry again for the lack of updates recently. Our computer was recently taken over with a virus which left us without one for about 2 weeks, that is until Kevin convinced me to get a new one. This week I have been off of work, so I've just been lazy about downloading the software to grab pictures off of the computer. I decided since it was the new year I should get 2010 pictures up for everyone to see!!! We are leaving shortly to have a family movie afternoon, going to see Yogi Bear. Once we return I promise to work on the rest of the pictures!! But until then, here a just a piece of Garrett's Christmas play, I will write more about it later!!!

Halloween 2010

Not sure what Blogger has done, however the past 1 hour I have fought and fought with this stupid site!!!

Anyway, thought I would go back and fill you in on some of the highlights since you last "saw" us. Going back to the end of October.... Garrett went Trick or Treating this year! I didn't think he would want to go "door to door" trick or treating - however after the first visitor came to Mom and Dad's door and received candy it didn't take much convincing!! So... off we went.

This year Garrett wanted to be a Carolina Football Player for Halloween....Daddy was proud!! :)

Lighting of the greens

Our town has an annual "lighting of the greens" celebration at the beginning of the holiday season. Santa is usually there for the festivities. This is something we had never been to, so decided this year we would try to make it. There really wasn't much to it, that's what happens in small towns I guess, however we had a good time. Garrett actually talked to Santa there and told him some of his wishlist! He refused to sit on Santas lap though, opting just to stand beside him for the picture!!

Thanksgiving 2010

This year for Thanksgiving we could have found ourselves eating at a local Chinese restaurant. Why is that you ask.....because I was in charge of cooking dinner!!! Yep, me - shocking I know!! However, I must say it turned out pretty well!! We didn't have to go out looking for something open, nobody got sick, and we all had full bellies. Success in my book!!! I didn't take many pictures....I think I was more worried about the food...but I did manage a few. And what kind of cook would I be if I didn't take a picture of all my masterpieces!!!

We did manage to get a new family picture taken while at Mom and Dad's also. Most of you saw this picture arrive in your mailboxes, minus the snowman...he had to be cropped from our Christmas card!!

ABC's

Take a look....do you see it????

That's right....it's the letter A. Now, normally you wouldn't get to excited about seeing an "A", however you may if you realized your 3 year old wrote that all by himself!! Yep, on November 24th (I only know this thanks to my camera for telling me when I take pictures!) Garrett was drawing with his Aquadoodle when all of a sudden he looks at me and said "look Mommy it's Ashton and Ashley!" and this is what I saw. I was shocked, surprised, and so very proud!!

Now let me explain the "Ashton and Ashley". They are two kids from Garrett's class at school. They practice the alphabet by having the person or people who's name starts with the letter stand up and they sing a silly little song that goes with it. Something like; "Garrett, Garrett jump up and down, jump up and down....now sit down". Anyway, so that is how he is learning his alphabet and letters. He often will see a G and say, "hey that's my name". We are working now on the letter names and not just people names!!!

Where did my baby go??!!

Making Christmas cookies!!

Nana and Lori came for a weekend visit!! We had so much fun while they were here and didn't want them to leave :( The night before the left we went over to Mom and Dad's and made Christmas cookies!! This was Garrett's first time making cookies (I know, bad Mom) and he had a blast.

Lori was proud of her cookie!!
